Day1: Drive to Bwindi Gorilla National Park

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi national park
Having taken your early morning breakfast, head to the ranger station for briefing. You will be told how to behave while in the forest, hire a porter, carry energy bites, camera and ensure you dress up in the appropriate gorilla trekking gear for comfort while in the jungle. The time of finding gorillas varies from about 2 hour to about 7 hours depending on there movement and proximity of there food. When you finally meet them, you are allowed just one hour in there presence taking there photographs and watching them play from the vines. Carry on and relax at your lodge

Day 3: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Early in the morning, drive to Queen Elizabeth National park at times referred to as the Uganda biosphere reserve. Enjoy a game drive on the way as you go through Ishasha sector where you may have the chance of seeing animals like the hartebeests, lions, elephants, buffaloes and so much more. Get into the park and relax at your lodge.

Day 4: Game drive and Launch Cruise
Rise up early for a game drive in the crater lakes region of the park. You may have the chance of seeing the early risers as they emerge from there overnight hide outs. Some animals that may cross your way include herd of elephants, waterbucks, bush bucks, lions, leopards, buffaloes and so much more. Day 6: Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale forest National Park
Get up for breakfast and head to the ranger station for chimpanzee trekking. Chimpanzees are known for being the closest cousins of man in the animal kingdom. The ranger guide will brief you about how to behave while in the search for chimpanzees. These have a community headed by an alpha male whose power is controlled by the members of the community. The chimps will get to notice you before you do and you will hear them hooting at each other as if to alert them of your presence. Take there photos and watch them. Return to the lodge and relax.

Day 7: drive to Lake Mburo National Park
Having enjoyed the southern part of Uganda, drive to Lake Mburo National park. This is the closet National Park to Kampala that you can visit. It has incredible animals like the zebras, statungas and on a lucky day, you mat spot leopards, arrive and relax

Gorillas are highly susceptible to human communicable diseases so it is best to stay behind in case you have any. They have a cohesive family bond and highly respect there leader the silverback. After briefing, you will be lead into the forest to start searching for the gorillas in the company of an armed ranger guide. The Rwanda trek is usually done on steep slopes and the time of finding the gorillas is not known since they keep moving in search of food and other eats. When you finally get to see them, stay with them and enjoy there company for about 1 hour. Gorillas in Uganda live in Bwindi forest national park which is about 9 to 10 hours away from the capital Kampala if driving but may take about 1hour and half if flying for gorilla trekking.  Rwanda gorillas live in Volcanoes forest National Park which is about 2 hour and half hours on a well made road meandering around highlands.

Gorilla trekking in Rwanda has been one of the challenging activities as a result of tedious measures to apply for a visa in Rwanda. The government of Rwanda has therefore revised their immigration policy and exempted some countries from going through the hassle of securing a Rwanda Visa prior to arrival.  Starting 1st November 2014, nationals from countries like Australia, Germany, Israel, New Zealand, South Africa, Sweden, UK and USA will receive a Rwandan entry visa and pay a fee of US $30 on arrival.
