Gorilla Trekking Families Groups In Uganda



Gorilla trekking groups or gorilla families in Uganda is located in ether the northern sector of Bwindi or the southern sector. 10 Gorilla trekking families in Uganda are open for tourism but one family is for research. Since 2013, gorilla trekking permits are sold based on the area of tracking and on the day of tracking, each person is allocated a gorilla family top trek. This is the main reason why you must provide your details before acquiring a gorilla permit so that in case of any problem you can be assisted.



Gorilla tracking groups in northern part of Bwindi, Buhoma area include Rushegura gorilla group, Habinyanja gorilla group and Mubare gorilla family. In Ruhija area of the northern sector of Bwindi forest Bitukura gorilla family and Oruzogo gorilla family. In the southern sector of Bwindi forest National park is Nkuringo area with Nkuringo gorilla family. Rushaga area of the southern sector is Nshongi gorilla group, Mishaya gorilla family, Kahungye gorilla group, Busingye gorilla group and Bweza gorilla group.
