Mountain gorillas
They live freely in Bwindi national park and in the entire
world the biggest number is conserved in this park. Mountain gorillas live are
huge dark brown eyed primates whose existence dates back as fur as the ice age
period. They have survived many centuries and Uganda, Rwanda and Congo are the
only habitats.
During gorilla trekking, you follow the spot where mountain
gorillas were seen the previous day. The time to take in the wilderness varies
from 2 hours to more than 8 hours depending on there mobility. On the way, you
may get the chance of seeing other primates like olive baboons, vervet monkeys,
chimpanzees, grey tailed monkeys, blue monkeys and so much more.
When you finally get to see them, you are allowed just 2
hours with them watching them play, collect some vines, the silver back may
want to show case its autonomy so watch out for this drama. Kindly do not show that
you are frightened because this may cause some suspicion.
After an hour, walk away slowly to relax at your lodge or to
avoid boredom participate in a visit to the Bwindi hospital or a cultural visit
