The cost of booking a gorilla trekking safari in Uganda or Rwanda is determined by the category of tour you wish to take. Most packages for a gorilla tracking Uganda safari are categorised into luxury gorilla safaris, mid range and budget gorilla packages. You may opt to mix these categories to experience their services.



You must have a budget of what you hope to spend on your gorilla trek tour. This is to reduce on the chance of going bankrupt while on your tour. A gorilla tracking safari requires advance planning. How fit must I be in a gorilla trekking Safari
Gorilla trekking involves hiking to find the gorillas so you must have some bit of fitness to manoeuvre. It is not a guarantee that you should always be fit but for purposes of enjoyment, a gorilla trekking safari is more comfortable if you are fit. Together with your ranger guide, you slowly hike to the slopes where you may find the gorillas and in case it is a rainy season, they get down to the bottom.

What is the best family for tracking gorillas?
The gorilla tracking experience is the same throughout Uganda and Rwanda. You cannot spot out which gorilla family is best for gorilla trekking because we all have different purposes for visiting the gorillas. Some what to see the most energetic silverback, other wish to trek a gorilla group that is very close, others want the most tedious gorilla family, other wish to see a family with the youngest infant and several others.
