What To carry during Africa Gorilla
trekking Safari
A rain coat
or poncho is good for protecting you from getting wet since it rains in this
area without warning.
Tracking
boots are wonderful measure to prevent you from hurting your feet
Long
trousers and a long sleeved shirt will protect your skin from biting nettles, coldness
or any rough surfaces that you may pass by.
A camera is
the only visible item you can carry to keep your memories alive while with the
mountain gorillas. This should however be flashless since the mountain gorillas
fear anything like lightening.
Garden
gloves are a good choice to park because during gorilla trekking, you may wish
to get extra support from the creeping plants that you pass by.
A pair of
stocking which you can use to tack in your trousers and protect your skin from
being damaged is a good thing to pack.
Insect
repellants are very vital for your skin too since you have to protect your skin
against any biting nettles in the wilderness.
Energy bites
will keep you going since the time you may take searching to see the mountain gorillas
is not known.
When To Book a Gorilla Tracking
permit
If you are
hoping to go for a gorilla tracking safari in Africa, you have to book a
gorilla trekking permit. The gorilla permit is the only opening key to
guarantee a successful gorilla trekking safari.
In Uganda,
the gorilla tracking permit costs $600 and in Rwanda, the price for gorilla
trekking permit is $1500. The gorilla
trekking permits are sold at the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA).
It is best
to book a gorilla trekking permit at least 3 months to the date of your gorilla
trekking safari. This is because the permits are few yet also a few are
released each day for tourist booking.
