These forests are home to unique primates like chimpanzees, grey checked mangabey, vervet monkeys, red tailed monkeys, olive baboons, potos monkeys, blue monkeys, golden monkeys and several others. Birds roam around the forest including the albertine endemics.
You must know that gorilla trekking in Uganda has two option of how to get there. You may decide to drive to Bwindi forest which is about 9 to 10 hours on a scenic road. Drive through the undulating hills of kigezi, enjoy the green vegetation in Western Uganda, meandering rivers, large banana plantations and so much more.

You need to have atleast 30 kg of free baggage so reduce the weight of your baggage as possible not forgetting the gorilla trekking gear.
